Tumbling Rock Cave- one of Alabama’s best kept secrets! Spend the day on a guided hike through the cave’s many passages. Head through the Great Hall of Mysteries to check out Kings Showers, at 465’ it is Alabama’s largest waterfall! Be sure to pack a lunch to eat when you get to the Christmas tree formation.

Alabama’s newest state park! The first thing you notice about Cathedral Caverns is the massive entrance. The huge opening measures 126 ft wide by 25 ft high. And it gets even better! Inside the cavern, you will find Big Rock Canyon, Mystery River and some of the most beautiful formations. Among them, you will see Stalagmite Mountain, the Frozen Waterfall, and Goliath, a huge stalagmite column that reaches the ceiling of the cave some 45 ft. above!

Here’s a great opportunity for a quick break at the start of the semester. Sugar Mountain offers a multitude of runs for all skill levels, including a one and a half mile run and a vertical drop of 1200 ft.
Trip fee covers transportation, lodging, lift tickets, and ski rental. Meals and clothing are the responsibility of the participant.

Paddle open kayaks down one of Alabama’s best white water rivers; the Mulberry Fork of the Warrior River. Just one hour from Birmingham you’ll find scenery and fun rapids. Weather permitting we’ll have a chance to watch part of the Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak race. All equipment is included. Come boating with us. This trip is geared towards new paddlers.

Join us on a mountain biking adventure on Trail of Legends’ Swayback Trail just north of Wetumpka, AL. You’ll love the “roller coaster” section along Lake Jordan and miles of singletrack. Ride at your own pace and choose how long your ride will last. This awesome trail has something to offer for all ability levels and it’s quickly become a must-ride for Alabama mountain bikers!

Kayak across the inter-coastal waterway to Georgia’s largest and most southern barrier island. Spend two nights of backcountry camping on the island, where a park permit affords the group the possibility of our own private beach. Departing Thursday morning allows time to enjoy the island. Enjoy the wildlife, a chance to see sea turtles, porpoises, and many other flora and fauna. This is a great experience for all skill levels!

Pisgah National Forest also known as “The Land of Waterfalls” is one of the great natural resources of the United States and a favorite playground of its people. Take this opportunity to backpack an area of the country that houses treeless mountain tops offering views for up to 70 miles or more in some areas. These treeless mountaintops in the Pisgah National Forest draw people from afar due to their sweeping views and alpine-like appearance. Other popular amenities in Pisgah National Forest include Looking Glass Rock and Looking Glass Falls (a 65 ft. waterfall).
